Paul Berez

Paul Berez

Dr. Berez is a general Internist in practice at the Crofton and Annapolis, MD areas since 1984. He has recently decided to concentrate totally on his office practice as had also attended at Anne Arundel Medical Center and local Subacute Rehabilitation facilities. Dr. Berez has special expertise in diabetes care. He has presented poster presentations twice at the American Diabetes Association and bases his care plans on directly measured insulin levels done after sugar challenge testing and also on fasting specimens. This provides an understanding of each patient's percentage of normal insulin production and calculating insulin sensitivity, allowing informed decisions on diabetes medicines and insulin therapy. He also has a special interest in a type of congestive heart failure with intractable body swelling with kidney failure associated with attempts to relieve the swelling with diuretics. He works together with cardiologists on these cases using his treatment approach outlined in his article published May, 2010 in Southern Medical Journal. Dr. Berez also has an interest in Sports Medicine and challenging cases.
