WELCOME TO DIVISION OF HEMATOLOGY/ONCOLOGY

Hematology is a subspecialty of Internal Medicine or Pathology with additional training that specializes in diseases of the blood, spleen, and lymph glands. This specialist treats conditions such as anemia, clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, leukemia, and lymphoma.

Oncology is a sub-specialty of Internal Medicine that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of cancer and other benign and malignant tumors. This specialist decides on and administers chemotherapy for malignancy, as well as consults with surgeons and radiotherapists on other treatments for cancer.
