  • Dr’s Bhasker Jhaveri and Rita Jhaveri join practice 
  • Exploration Center office opens in Lexington Park, MD

  • Dr “Pat” Jarboe, Robert Bauer and John Fenwick join the practice. 
  • Charlotte Hall, MD Office opens
1995
  • Dr Kiran Mehta, Avani Shah, Dhiren Shah and Anil Shah join the practice
1996
  • Ground breaking for the Philip J Bean Medical Center in Hollywood, MD
1997
  • Philip J Bean Medical Center opens 
  • Infusion services added at Philip J Bean Medical Center
2000
  • Dr Amish Shah and Arpana Shah join the practice (2nd Generation of the Shah family) 
  • Breton Medical joins the practice (5 new physicians join the practice)
2003
  • Calvert Medical Arts Center opens in Prince Frederick, MD
2004
  • Health Prime International is established 
2007
  • Maryland Healthcare Associates join the practice (12 new physicians join the practice); Shah Associates expands into Charles County, MD and Prince George’s County, MD 
  • Washington Post article on Shah Associates published: “Born In India, Transforming Rural Maryland”
2008
  • Dr. Vinod K Shah elected President of American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI)
2009
  • Chapter in Gary Gately’s “Maryland Working Wonders”dedicated to Shah Associates. Governor Martin O’Malley commissions this book to emphasize the impact of specific organizations on Maryland’s success.
2011
  • J. Patrick Jarboe Medical Center opens in California, MD 
  • Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act implemented 
  • Medicare Advantage plan license obtained 
  • Practice expands to Crofton, Maryland; Shah Associates expands to Ann Arundel County 
  • Philip J. Bean, Waldorf and Prince Frederick locations earn NCQA Level 1
2012
  • Maryland Collaborative Care Accountable Care Organization (ACO) established 
  • Philip J. Bean, Waldorf and Prince Frederick locations achieve NCQA Level 2 & 3
2014
  • Dr. Meena Shah and Nimesh Khatri join practice (2nd Generation of the Shah Family)
2015
  • All 14 locations achieve NCQA accreditation
  • Shah Associates partners with Medstar Health to form Medstar Shah Medical Group
